Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Anson). They were the clear victors by a 22-4 margin over the Stamford Bulldogs on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Tigers sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.
Taylar Bowen made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Anson got a massive performance out of Tatiana GARCIA, who fired off three triples and three runs while going 4-for-5. Those four hits gave GARCIA a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaitlyn Ramirez, who went 2-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and one double.
Anson kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Anson's record is now 13-5. As for Stamford, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-11.
