Make it six blowout wins for the Westfield Mustangs this season. They were the clear victor by a 63-39 margin over Eisenhower. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Westfield has posted since December 2, 2023.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Keiora Gaines, who scored 16 points along with nine rebounds. Gaines continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Genesis Watson, who scored eight points.
The win got Westfield back to even at 10-10. As for Eisenhower, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-18 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westfield will take on Nimitz at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Nimitz presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Westfield in Texas (Nimitz is ranked 180th, while Westfield is ranked 692nd). As for Eisenhower, they will be playing at home against Aldine at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Aldine is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
