The Metro Tech Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They were outmatched by Glendale at home and fell 74-36. Metro Tech lost against Glendale in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 51-36 score last time.
Metro Tech's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ace Zambrano, who scored 9 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals. Zambrano hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Oswaldo Lopez Vargas was another key contributor, scoring 10 points along with 8 rebounds.
Metro Tech has yet to win a matchup at home this season, leaving them with a 1-8 record. As for Glendale, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Metro Tech will take on Kellis at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Glendale, they will head out on the road to face off against Copper Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
