The Web of Wisdom Wizards will head out on the road to face off against the Genesis Prep Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Web of Wisdom will be strutting in after a victory while Genesis Prep will be coming in after a defeat.
With a playoff game on the line, Web of Wisdom rose to the challenge on Thursday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 49-15 win over the Sea Shepherds. That 34 point margin sets a new team best for Web of Wisdom this season.
Web of Wisdom found their leader in underclassman Taylor Smith, who scored 19 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Smith has scored at least a third of Web of Wisdom's points. Another player making a difference was Jason Johnson, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, Genesis Prep's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight defeat. They took a 36-26 hit to the loss column at the hands of Classical Christian School for the Arts.
Web of Wisdom's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Genesis Prep, they dropped their record down to 3-10 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Web of Wisdom was able to grind out a solid victory over Genesis Prep in their previous meeting back in January, winning 40-33. Does Web of Wisdom have another victory up their sleeve, or will Genesis Prep turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
