If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Morrice. They will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Madison Academy at 7:00 PM. Morrice are cruising in on a five-game winning streak while Madison Academy are stumbling in off of three consecutive losses.
Last Thursday, Morrice put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season. They were fully in charge, breezing past Sacred Heart Academy 40-0. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-0.
Meanwhile, Madison Academy took a serious blow against Lawrence, falling 0-50. Madison Academy were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-36.
Morrice's victory lifted them to 5-0 while Madison Academy's defeat dropped them down to 1-4. In their victory, Morrice relied heavily on senior Hunter Nowak, who rushed for 171 yards and 3 touchdowns. Madison Academy will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
