While Canyon put up some runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for Parkland. The Canyon Eagles narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Parkland Matadors 1-0. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Matadors recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Canyon's win bumped their record up to 7-1-1. As for Parkland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-5.

Canyon will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Childress at 12:00 p.m. The last three games Canyon has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Parkland, they will face off against Fort Stockton at 12:50 p.m. on Saturday. Parkland is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.4 runs per game this season.
