The Millard North Mustangs will head out on the road to take on the Omaha Westside Warriors at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Omaha Westside will be up against a hot Millard North squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. Millard North blew past Burke 65-37 on Tuesday. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 14th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 142nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Derek Rollins was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 24 points and nine boards. The match was his third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Amari Rahaman, who posted nine points along with eight assists and five steals.
Meanwhile, Omaha Westside entered their tilt with Omaha South on Tuesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They really took it to the Packers for the full four quarters, racking up an 84-33 victory. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 52-19.
Omaha Westside found their leader in sophomore London Dada, who went 8 for 13 en route to 21 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Dada has scored all season. Lee Robinson was another key player, putting up eight points and eight assists.
Omaha Westside was working as a unit and finished the game with 24 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in November of 2023.
Millard North's win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.5 points per game. As for Omaha Westside, their victory bumped their record up to 16-2.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Millard North has been crashing the rebounds this season, having averaged 32.6 boards per game. However, it's not like Omaha Westside struggles in that department as they've been averaging 33.1 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Millard North came out on top in a nail-biter against Omaha Westside in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, sneaking past 50-48.
