The Alta Hawks will take on the Skyline Eagles at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Alta is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.9 runs per game this season.
Alta lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Highland, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's game. The Hawks blew past the Rams 19-3 on Friday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Hawks considering their one-run performance the match before.

Danica Doyle made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. Those eight strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got three or more in each of the last four games she's played.
In other batting news, Alta got a massive performance out of Bailey Thompson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most stolen bases Thompson has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Addyson Brownell, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Alta kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in six consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Skyline lost 12-1 to Olympus on Thursday. The Eagles have struggled against the Titans recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.
Skyline saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Callie Cundick, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.
Skyline's loss dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Alta, their win bumped their record up to 5-14.
Skyline's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Alta has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.8 hits per game. It's a different story for Skyline, though, as they've been averaging 10 hits. Given Alta's sizable advantage in that area, the Eagles will need to find a way to close that gap.
Alta took their victory against Skyline in their previous matchup back in April by a conclusive 36-25 score. Will the Hawks repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
