The Dutch Fork Silver Foxes's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They fell 58-45 to Chapin. Dutch Fork was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Chapin apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2023.
Dutch Fork's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Elgin Sessions, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sessions has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Bryson Taylor, who scored 15 points.
Dutch Fork struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Chapin racked up 12 assists.
Chapin got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaydon Bradford out in front who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Bradford pulled down eight or more rebounds. Cayman Collins was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with seven assists.
Dutch Fork's defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 8-11. As for Chapin, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dutch Fork will take on Lexington at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lexington presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Dutch Fork in South Carolina (Lexington is ranked third, while Dutch Fork is ranked 115th). As for Chapin, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against White Knoll at 7:30 p.m.
