Front Range Baptist took a 37-24 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lone Star. Front Range Baptist has struggled against Lone Star recently, as their match on Thursday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Front Range Baptist still got an impressive performance from Katie Jaques, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Jaques is trending in the right direction, as she's improved his point production for three games straight.
Lone Star was led to victory by Paityn Forry and Jade Kuntz. Forry scored 12 points, while Kuntz scored nine points along with seven rebounds and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Forry has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Amanda Kubitz, who scored four points along with nine rebounds.
Front Range Baptist's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-7. As for Lone Star, the win got them back to even at 5-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Front Range Baptist on the road again on Friday and play against Loveland Protestant Reformed Christian at 5:00 p.m. on January 19th. Loveland Protestant Reformed Christian is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games. As for Lone Star, they will head out on the road to face off against Idalia at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Idalia's defense has only allowed 29.2 points per game this season, so Lone Star's offense will have their work cut out for them.
