Kimberly's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Finley Van Lannen, who had 12 digs and two aces. Van Lannen is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last three games she's played.
Kimberly's loss dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Luxemburg-Casco, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.
Kimberly and Luxemburg-Casco should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Wisconsin Rankings. The Papermakers will challenge Appleton East at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (33 vs. 217). Meanwhile, Luxemburg-Casco (ranked 35th) will meet Clintonville (ranked 238th) at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
