The Rocky Mountain Lobos have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 29 points or more this season. They blew past Prairie View 75-30 on the road. With Rocky Mountain ahead 48-14 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
It was another big night for Sara Chicco, who went 6 for 7 from beyond the arc en route to 28 points and 1 assists. The match was her sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Meela Delap, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks.
The win was the third in a row for Rocky Mountain, bringing their record for this year to 7-2. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 43.33 points. As for Prairie View, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rocky Mountain won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Timnath at 7:00 p.m. on January 10th. Timnath knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matchups -- so hopefully Rocky Mountain likes a good challenge. As for Prairie View, they will head out on the road to face off against Poudre at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
