Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
On Saturday, Wolsey-Wessington came up short against Potter County co-op [Gettysburg/Hoven] and fell 44-31.
Meanwhile, Sunshine Bible Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. Their tough 49-24 defeat to Hitchcock-Tulare might stick with them for a while. Sunshine Bible Academy has struggled against Hitchcock-Tulare recently, as their game on Thursday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Betra Amare, who scored five points along with seven steals and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Abby Hinman, who scored four points along with seven rebounds and five steals.
Wolsey-Wessington's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 5-8. As for Sunshine Bible Academy, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Wolsey-Wessington against Sunshine Bible Academy in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 as the team secured a 73-14 win. With Wolsey-Wessington ahead 28-8 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
