The Millard South Patriots will be taking part in a tournament against the Elkhorn South Storm at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Millard South knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Elkhorn South likes a good challenge.

Jacob Altstadt looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Blake McAndrews was excellent, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted over his last 16 games. Jaxson Appuhn was another key player, earning three RBI and one run.

Another player making a difference was Markus Gorup, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Elkhorn South is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.
