Edina will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
Edina is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Academy of Holy Angels on Wednesday as they made off with a 16-2 victory. With that win, the Hornets brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Ella Meyer was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 4-for-5 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That double was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Mia Kapoor was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Haley Cox, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.
Edina kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 21 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Buffalo's offense. They lost 8-0 to Eden Prairie on Wednesday. The Bison haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.
Buffalo saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Avery Bjorklund, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.
Edina's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Buffalo, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.
Buffalo's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Edina hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .367. It's a different story for Buffalo, though, as they've only averaged .212. Will they be able to contain Edina's hitters?
Edina beat Buffalo 5-2 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Do the Hornets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bison turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
