The Ichabod Crane Riders had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 44-34 win over Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk on Wednesday. The victory was just what Ichabod Crane needed coming off of a 67-21 loss in their prior match.
Despite the defeat, Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk saw an underclassman step up: Hayden Wolfe dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds.
Even though they lost, Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. This was only their 11th loss (out of 14 games) when they hit their own glass that hard.
Ichabod Crane's victory bumped their record up to 3-15. As for Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season.
Ichabod Crane didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 69-34 loss vs. Academy of the Holy Names on the 9th. Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk has also already played their next contest, a 42-34 win against Cohoes on the 9th.
