Eastern is 0-4 against Nelsonville-York since November of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Eastern Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Nelsonville-York Buckeyes at 7:30 p.m. Eastern is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
Eastern pushed their score all the way to 57 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Green by a score of 60-57.
Meanwhile, Nelsonville-York was the victim of a tough 74-50 loss at the hands of Marietta on Thursday. Nelsonville-York has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Alayna Okulich, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 13 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Airah Lavy, who scored 14 points along with 6 rebounds.
The losses dropped Eastern to 0-4 and Green to 2-2.
Eastern came up short against Nelsonville-York in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, falling 77-72. Thankfully for Eastern, Brooklyn Richards (who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 16 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
