Given their disadvantage in the MaxPreps state rankings, Sheffield should expect quite the challenge on Thursday. They take on Wooddale at 7:00 PM. Sheffield come in off of six low-scoring performances in a row, a trend the team is obviously eager to reverse.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 0-39, which was the final score in Sheffield's tilt against Cordova last Friday.
After a string of four wins, Wooddale's good fortune finally ran out. They were completely outmatched, falling 0-42 to Collierville. The game was over by the end of the first half, with no points scored by either team from that point forward.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. Hopefully the teams can find a way to make up for their last outings by putting some points on the board this time.
