The Charter School for Applied Tech Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 53-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Newfane. Charter School for Applied Tech was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Newfane apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2016.
It was another big night for Nate Snow, who scored 24 points along with seven rebounds for Newfane. Those 24 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Braman, who scored nine points along with seven assists and five rebounds.
Charter School for Applied Tech bumped their record down to 0-1 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Newfane, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.
Charter School for Applied Tech will head out on the road to face off against Orchard Park at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Orchard Park's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for Newfane, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Barker at 6:30 p.m. Barker will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 478th, while Newfane is ranked 176th).
