University has been on the road for four straight, but on Wednesday they'll finally head home. Having just played yesterday, they will get right back to it and host the Freedom Patriots at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
Even though East River scored an imposing 61 points on Tuesday, University still came out on top. University came out on top in a nail-biter against East River and snuck past 63-61. 63 seems to be a good number for University as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Noah Nazario continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 18 points along with two steals. He hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Ethan Adams was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with three steals.
Freedom posted their closest victory yet this season on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past New Dimensions 68-65. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
University has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. As for Freedom, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-12.
Everything came up roses for University against Freedom in their previous matchup back in November of 2022 as the team secured a 54-20 win. With University ahead 31-9 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
