The Neodesha Blue Streaks lost against the West Elk Patriots back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Neodesha had to suffer through a rough 59-30 loss at the hands of West Elk. Neodesha has not had much luck with West Elk recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
West Elk was led to victory by Uriah Tillapaugh and Martin Shipley. Tillapaugh dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds, while Shipley scored 17 points along with 4 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Tillapaugh has scored at least 25% of West Elk's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddex Moreno, who scored 12 points.
Neodesha's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for West Elk, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Neodesha will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Cherryvale. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Kansas (Cherryvale is ranked 192nd, while Neodesha is ranked 175th). As for West Elk, they will head out on the road to face off against Sedan at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
