Washburn lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Drummond, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's game. The Castle Guards were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Lumberjacks on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Castle Guards, who have now won seven matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Brodi A made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Henry Means, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Silas Roode, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Washburn's win bumped their record up to 14-4. As for Drummond, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-8.

As of now, neither Washburn nor the Lumberjacks have any future games scheduled.
