The Ramsey Rams pushed their score all the way to 62 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Sandoval by a score of 65-62. Ramsey has not had much luck with Sandoval recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Armoni Dempsey was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 13 rebounds for Sandoval. That makes it two consecutive games in which Dempsey has scored at least 25% of Sandoval's points. Quentin Heinzman was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with 9 rebounds.
Ramsey's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Sandoval, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ramsey will challenge Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up five on Tuesday. Sandoval's road trip will continue as they head out to face Mulberry Grove at 7:30 p.m. on November 28th. Mulberry Grove is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 60 points per game.
