On Tuesday, Atlanta Jewish Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Oak Mountain Academy, taking the game 49-41.
It was another big night for Zac Agichtein, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 14 rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down ten or more in the last four games he's played. Edan Eyal was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Oak Mountain Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Brandon Bain, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Beepathsing, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds.
Atlanta Jewish Academy's victory bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Oak Mountain Academy, their loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-3.
Atlanta Jewish Academy will take on Harvester Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Harvester Christian Academy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 226 points over their last three contests. As for Oak Mountain Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Flint River Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Oak Mountain Academy is coming into the match with three straight defeats on the road, meaning Flint River Academy will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory.
