Albany hasn't had much luck against Foley recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Huskies will challenge the Falcons at 5:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.
Albany is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Pequot Lakes a 10-0 shutout on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Huskies in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won three in a row.

Wyatt Schmitz
Wyatt Schmitz made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Albany is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 1-3 otherwise. Schmitz was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with three RBI and one run.
In other batting news, Cohen Habben was excellent, earning one RBI, two runs, and two stolen bases. Judah Allen was another key player, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two RBI.
Meanwhile, Foley made easy work of Kimball on Tuesday and carried off a 17-1 victory. The contest marked the Falcons' most dominant win of the season so far.
Like Albany, Foley also got a great game from a two-way player: Noah Gapinski. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Gapinski has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.
Foley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Albany's record now sits at 3-4. As for Foley, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Thursday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Albany has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .432. However, it's not like Foley struggles in that department as they've averaged .455. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Albany skirted past Foley 6-4 in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. Will the Huskies repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
