On Friday Deubrook take on Elkton/Lake Benton MN at 7:00 PM. Both teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
Deubrook took a serious blow against Colman-Egan last Friday, falling 20-58. Deubrook got a solid performance out of senior Clayton Koppatschek, who rushed for 166 yards and 1 touchdown; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the win. In fact, with 9 tackles Koppatschek was a force on both sides of the ball.
Meanwhile, if Elkton/Lake Benton MN were riding high off their 43-0 takedown of Oldham-Ramona/Rutland three weeks ago, that ride came to an abrupt end. Elkton/Lake Benton MN were given a punishing 0-42 defeat at the hands of Arlington/Lake Preston.
Given their recent losses, both teams have a little extra motivation heading into this weekend. We'll see which team satisfies their hunger and which team leaves with an empty stomach.
