Faith Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 58-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Reicher Catholic.
In what's become a running theme this season, Live Oak Classical gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 75-27 win over Central Texas Christian on the road. Given Live Oak Classical's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 324th, while Central Texas Christian is ranked 1561st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Levi Taylor was his usual excellent self, scoring 20 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Tristan Wilson was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Faith Academy's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 20-9. As for Live Oak Classical, they are on a roll lately: they've won 18 of their last 21 games, which provided a nice bump to their 28-5 record this season.
Faith Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Live Oak Classical in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 61-56 win. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Live Oak Classical's Jayden Ogden, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
