After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Loveland Classical, the Addenbrooke Classical Academy Mustangs were happy to have found some success on Friday. They took down Ascent Classical Academy 40-26. The score was all tied up 15-15 at the break, but Addenbrooke Classical Academy was the (much) better team in the second half.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Addenbrooke Classical Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Calum Michelsen, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Michelsen has scored at least 25% of Addenbrooke Classical Academy's points. Diego Jaramilio was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 steals.
Addenbrooke Classical Academy now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Ascent Classical Academy, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Addenbrooke Classical Academy and Liberty Tree Academy will face off at 11:30 a.m. on December 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Ascent Classical Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Twin Peaks Charter Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
