Monta Vista fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Leland on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 58-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chargers. Monta Vista has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Mills beat Ann Sobrato 50-40 on Friday.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mills to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jefriel Bacorro, who scored 11 points. The matchup was Bacorro's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Joshua Lee, who scored eight points along with four steals.
Monta Vista's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Mills, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.
