The Accelerate Christian Warriors will head out on the road to take on the Christ Academy Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Accelerate Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Friday.
Accelerate Christian fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They took down Holy Cross 59-42.
Accelerate Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Landon Myers out in front who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. Myers hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Jaxon Leyendecker was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Christ Academy took a serious blow against Holy Cross Academy on January 6th, falling 67-38.
Accelerate Christian's victory bumped their record up to 5-15. As for Christ Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.
Accelerate Christian and Christ Academy were neck-and-neck when the teams last played on January 6th, but Accelerate Christian came up empty-handed after a 34-33 loss. Can Accelerate Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
