The Bunn Wildcats can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They came out on top against Warren County by a score of 32-19. That's another feather in the cap for Bunn, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Alana Sanders continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 18 points. Mercedes Fowler was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Despite the loss, Warren County saw an underclassman step up: Mariah Harris scored nine points. That was a full 47.4% of Warren County's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Bunn's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-13. As for Warren County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bunn will take on Rocky Mount at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Rocky Mount focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Wednesday. As for Warren County, they will head out on the road to take on Weldon at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Weldon has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
