After losing to the Newark Norsemen the last time they met, the Lisle Lions decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Lisle came out on top against Newark by a score of 47-40 on Saturday.
When it comes to explaining why Newark lost, one person who can't be blamed is Dylan Long. Despite the final result, he scored 17 points along with 5 rebounds. Nate Kath was another key contributor, scoring 5 points along with 4 steals.
The win got Lisle back to even at 3-3. As for Newark, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
Lisle will head out on the road to face off against Herscher at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Newark, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Earlville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Earlville will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.
