The Charlotte Trojans were the 48-30 winner over the Natalia Mustangs when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Charlotte took a serious blow against Natalia on Thursday, falling 61-29. Charlotte was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-15.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Natalia to victory, but perhaps none more so than Juan Gonzales, who scored 11 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals. Gonzales continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Elias Deluna, who scored 10 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals.
Charlotte are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3. As for Natalia, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Dilley the next time they take the court. Natalia will head out to face Dilley at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Charlotte will head out to face them at 12:30 p.m. on Friday.
