Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Liberty Eagles, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They were dealt a 55-7 loss at the hands of Salem on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 35 points in the game before, Liberty couldn't push the score so high this time.
Liberty now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Salem, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.
Liberty does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Salem will be playing at home against Handley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Handley is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
