Oasis Academy has gone a perfect 3-0 against North Tahoe recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Bighorns will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lakers at 3:00 p.m. Oasis Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.6 runs per game this season.
North Tahoe will be up against a hot Oasis Academy squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Bighorns came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against Pershing County. That's two games straight that the Bighorns have won by just one run.

Ryder McNabb was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted over his last five matchups. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Joshua Gusewelle, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. That's the most runs he has posted over his last 11 contests.
Meanwhile, North Tahoe hadn't done well against West Wendover recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way two weeks ago. The Lakers walked away with a 9-6 victory over the Wolverines.
Like Oasis Academy, North Tahoe also got a great game from a two-way player: Noah Glickman. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over 6.2 innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits. Glickman was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.
Glickman wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Peter Rusek, who went 2-for-3 with two triples, three runs, and one RBI. Those triples were Rusek's first of the season. Another was Curtis Edmunds, who scored three runs while going 1-for-3.
North Tahoe is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Oasis Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 15-3.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Oasis Academy has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like North Tahoe struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 4.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Oasis Academy skirted past North Tahoe 4-3 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Do the Bighorns have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lakers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
