While KIPP Denver Collegiate couldn't quite beat The Pinnacle on Tuesday, the three-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 20-point loss they were dealt on Monday. KIPP Denver Collegiate fell just short of The Pinnacle by a score of 57-54. KIPP Denver Collegiate has not had much luck with The Pinnacle recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Meanwhile, Lake County can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent game on Saturday. They blew past Platte Canyon 65-42. Winning may never get old, but Lake County sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Martinez continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted 18 or more points the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Canaan Hall, who scored 11 points along with six steals and five rebounds.
KIPP Denver Collegiate has not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Lake County, they pushed their record up to 10-7 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
KIPP Denver Collegiate took a serious blow against Lake County in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 80-33. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point KIPP Denver Collegiate was down 40-15.
