The Haskell Haymakers will head out on the road to  take on  the Kellyville Ponies at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Haskell will be strutting in after a  win while Kellyville will be coming in after a  loss.
 Last Tuesday, while Haskell put up some  runs, the same  can't be said for Summit Christian Academy. Haskell came out on top against Summit Christian Academy by a score of  5-0. The  victory was just what Haskell needed coming off of  a  9-2 defeat in their prior  contest.
  Baxter Neal and  Nevin Sheedy made a splash no matter where they played. Throwing,  Neal   pitched three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   four  hits (he also only allowed one  walk). Meanwhile,  Sheedy   kept things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. At bat,  Neal  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-3, while  Sheedy  went 1-for-1 with two  RBI and a  double.
 They weren't the only ones making solid contact as  three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Elias Gonzales, who  scored two  runs while going 1-for-3.
 Meanwhile, Kellyville fell victim to a  rough 8-1 loss at the hands of Luther  on Tuesday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest  runs Kellyville has scored all season.
 Haskell's win was  their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 11-4. Those victories were due in large part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 10.0 runs per game. As for Kellyville, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-7.
 Haskell came up short against Kellyville in their previous matchup  back in March of 2023, falling  6-1. Can Haskell avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
