Meanwhile, Sheedy kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. At bat, Neal scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Sheedy went 1-for-1 with two RBI and a double.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Elias Gonzales, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, Kellyville fell victim to a rough 8-1 loss at the hands of Luther on Tuesday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest runs Kellyville has scored all season.
Haskell's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-4. Those victories were due in large part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs per game. As for Kellyville, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-7.
