The Enterprise Wildcats put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They secured a 58-53 W over Holmes County. This was payback for Enterprise, who suffered a 60-38 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Despite the loss, Holmes County still got an impressive performance from Karson McGowan, who shot 5-for-8 from downtown and dropped a double-double on 24 points and 10 assists. Emma Whitaker was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds.
Enterprise's victory bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Holmes County, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Enterprise will take on Carroll at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Carroll will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 118th, while Enterprise is ranked 16th). As for Holmes County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bozeman at 6:45 p.m. on Monday.
