The Illinois Lutheran Chargers can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Tri-Point 66-37 at home. Illinois Lutheran pushed the score to 63-32 by the end of the third, a deficit the Chargers cut but never quite recovered from.
Jaden Walls went supernova for Illinois Lutheran, scoring 25 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Walls has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Sam Adeniran, who scored 18 points.
Illinois Lutheran's win bumped their record up to 4-16. As for Tri-Point, their defeat was their 20th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-23.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Illinois Lutheran won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Beecher is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. As for Tri-Point, they will head out on the road to face off against the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
