It was a good run, but the Nettleton Tigers unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. Their rough 77-55 loss to Choctaw County might stick with them for a while. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
It was another big night for Caleb Cunningham, who scored 27 points along with seven rebounds and six steals for Choctaw County. Cunningham hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Treyvionne Woodard, who scored 17 points.
Nettleton's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-8. As for Choctaw County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season.
Nettleton will be playing in front of their home fans against the Chargers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Choctaw County is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for they, they will square off against Nettleton at 7:30 p.m. Nettleton knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five contests -- so hopefully the Chargers likes a good challenge.
