If The Roybal Titans were riding high off their 47-6 takedown of the Belmont Sentinels last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Roybal fell just short of Contreras by a score of 22-19. Roybal was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Contreras apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2022.
Roybal's lost on Friday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Max Ibarra, who threw for 122 yards and two touchdowns on only nine passes.
Contreras' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Marlon Martinez led the charge by rushing for 80 yards and three touchdowns. Cody Nunez and his 92 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Contreras' victory.
Roybal has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Contreras, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 4-6 record this season.
Roybal does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Contreras also has no future games currently scheduled.
