Northview came tearing into Friday's match with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.1 points), and they left with even more momentum. They had just enough and edged out the Terre Haute North Vigo Patriots 58-56. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Knights have posted since December 26, 2024.

Leading Northview to victory were Trayven Buis and Karson Fosdick. Buis shot 89% from the field to rack up 22 points, while Fosdick went 5-for-6 en route to 15 points. Buis is on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last four games he's played. Quinn Lewis also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Terre Haute North Vigo lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Tyler Renn, who shot 71% from the field on his way to 16 points and eight rebounds. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Klopfenstein, who went 6-for-8 to rack up 14 points and six boards.

Northview pushed their record up to 21-1 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Terre Haute North Vigo, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-4.

Northview has already played their next game, a 64-41 victory against Martinsville on the 25th. As for Terre Haute North Vigo, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 50-42 loss against Evansville Harrison on the 22nd.
