Even though the Palmer Dragons have not done well against the West Tallahatchie Choctaws recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Palmer blew past West Tallahatchie 66-28 on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Palmer has managed all season.
Despite the loss, West Tallahatchie had strong showings from Mario Moore, who scored eight points, and Jayden Sample, who scored seven points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Moore has scored all season.
Palmer is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 6-7 record this season. As for West Tallahatchie, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.
Palmer won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Coahoma County at 7:00 p.m. on December 21st. Coahoma County will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. West Tallahatchie will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on South Delta at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024.
