On Monday, Archbishop Curley came up short against Carver Vo-Tech and fell 59-47.
Dorrian Sands was his usual excellent self, scoring 22 points for Carver Vo-Tech. The matchup was Sands' eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kalial Colclough, who scored nine points along with six steals.
Archbishop Curley's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Carver Vo-Tech, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Archbishop Curley will challenge St. John's Catholic Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Carver Vo-Tech, they will head out on the road to face off against Forest Park at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Forest Park knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matches -- so hopefully Carver Vo-Tech likes a good challenge.
