Providence Day put another one in the bag  on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victors by  a  46-20 margin over the Charlotte Christian Knights. Given the Chargers' advantage  in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked second, while the Knights are ranked 38th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Providence Day to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Zaid Lott, who threw for 206 yards and three  touchdowns, and also punched in one  score on the ground.  Gordon Sellars was in the mix  as well, providing the Chargers with two TDs.
Providence Day's victory bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Charlotte Christian, they now  have a losing record of 4-5.
 We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Providence Day will  challenge  rival Charlotte Country Day School  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Meanwhile, Charlotte Christian is set to  square off against  their familiar foe Charlotte Latin  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. That  game will pit two of the most dominant  backs against one another:  Jamal Rule and  De'Jon Douglas.
