The Taylor County Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. Their tough 44-22 loss to Gadsden County might stick with them for a while. Taylor County lost against Gadsden County in their previous head to head back in January of 2019, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 51-21 score last time.
When it comes to explaining why Taylor County lost, one person who can't be blamed is LeeAsia Johnson. Despite the final result, she scored 15 points. Johnson scored a full 68.2% of Taylor County's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Taylor County's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Gadsden County, their win bumped their record up to 1-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Taylor County won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against North Florida Christian at 5:30 p.m. on December 5th. As for Gadsden County, they will head out on the road to face off against Wakulla at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Wakulla focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Friday.
