The Notre Dame Cristo Rey Panthers lost against the Northeast Metro RVT Knights back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Notre Dame Cristo Rey was beaten by Northeast Metro RVT 70-38. Notre Dame Cristo Rey was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-13.
Northeast Metro RVT's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chris Zullo, who scored 15 points along with six assists and six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Zullo has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kerry Jean, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds.
Notre Dame Cristo Rey bumped their record down to 2-5 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Northeast Metro RVT, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Notre Dame Cristo Rey will take on Cristo Rey at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cristo Rey is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Northeast Metro RVT, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mystic Valley Regional at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
