The Desert Hot Springs Golden Eagles won the last time they faced the Jurupa Valley Jaguars, and things went their way on Friday too. In a tight match that could have gone either way, Desert Hot Springs made off with a 27-26 win over Jurupa Valley.
Among those leading the charge was Messiah Smith, who threw for 230 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
Desert Hot Springs has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Jurupa Valley, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-6.
Desert Hot Springs will head out on the road to face off against Baldwin Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Baldwin Park is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home. Jurupa Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
