Cahokia recap October 1, 2013
Columbia extended the longest winning streak in Cahokia this week by beating Carlyle, 33-2. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Central scaled the state rankings by moving to 348 from 406 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Cougars climbed the ranks as a result of besting Mater Dei 29-28.
Dupo's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Tigers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Brett Aldridge has thrown for 392 yards and 2 touchdowns this season, while Tyler Barnes has 17 catches for 143 yards.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Freeburg takes on Columbia. At the moment, the Midgets are in third, while Scott Horner's team is in first.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Freeburg takes on the Eagles. Ronnie Stuart's team has allowed 73 points this season, while Columbia has given up 50. The Midgets allowed 6 points last week as they bested Red Bud.
The Eagles took down the Indians 33-2 last week, the largest margin of any game.
