Lacassine won the last time they faced Hathaway and things went their way on Friday too. The Cardinals were the clear victors by a 15-5 margin over the Hornets. The result was nothing new for the Cardinals, who have now won nine matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Kane Broussard, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-4. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ray Conner, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Lacassine is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-12 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Hathaway, their defeat was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-11.
